Once you download the App to your device (either from Google Play Store or Apple Store) you install and start it.

From the initial welcome screen you press Get started at the bottom.

You will now proceed to create a new wallet by choosing the Create a new wallet button.

WARNING: For security reasons, if you already use Metamask to manage other digital currencies, it is strongly recommended that you create a new wallet or a new Metamask account, different from the account you already have.

It is recommended to DENY consent by pressing the No Thanks button.

Create a Password, write it down on paper, and enter it in the New Password space provided.

Enter it again to confirm it, typing it into the Confirm Password space provided, choosing it so that the “Password strenght” is at least Good.

(OPTIONAL CHOICE) Further down, some versions of the Metamask App, instead of Sign in with Touch ID have the Remember me option indicated.

Finally, add the check mark to the sentence below and press the Create password button.

Although this procedure can also be done at a later time, it is recommended to do it right away.

Begin the procedure by pressing the Start key.

The screen that appears summarizes information and features regarding Private Keys and how to keep them safe.

After reading carefully, continue by pressing the Start button.

At this point, the blacked-out box hides your Private Keys. Pressing the View button shows them to you. Take care that no one can see or copy the 12-word phrase you will see appearing.

It is strongly recommended that you DO NOT TRANSCRIBE YOUR PRIVATE KEYS ON ANY DEVICE but preferably note them on a piece of paper and keep them safe.

Press View to view them.

Write down your Private Keys (the 12 words you see) in the same order as indicated by the numbers.

When finished, press the Continue button.

At this point confirm the Secret Phrase using the 12 annotated words (in the same original order) by choosing them from the bottom of the screen.

When done, if you have entered the 12 words correctly, “Success” will appear in green. At this point we conclude by pressing the Complete backup button.

Your wallet is secure. You can now return to the main Metamask screen by pressing the Done button at the bottom.

Metamask now shows up with its home screen and Account 1 ready to be used. At the top, under the words Wallet is indicated the main Ethereum network called Ethereum Main Network.

We need to change networks and select the Goerli Test Network.

To change networks we click at the top on Ethereum Main Network. A list of available networks will appear. Let’s select the last one at the bottom: Goerli Test Network.

Metamask alerts us that we are about to change networks. We confirm that we want to change networks by pressing the Got it button.

At this point, at the top of the Metamask home screen, under the heading Wallet, we see indicated the new Goerli Test Network, used to receive, send and store EXIT.

To import the Exit Currency (EXIT) Smart Contract into Metamask, at the bottom of the screen, select Import Tokens.

On the screen that appears there is the Token Address box where the Exit Currency Smart Contract address should be entered, which can be found at: https://goerli.etherscan.io/token/0xec….

Copy the entire Contract string and paste it into the Token Address box in Metamask.

Once we paste in the Smart Contract address and click anywhere outside the box we have just filled in, we will see the symbol of our coin appear (EXIT) and, scrolling further down, the number of decimals (18).

At this point we can finish the import by pressing the IMPORT button.

The initial screen will reappear again and a confirmation notice that the import of the EXIT token was successful.

From now on, the initial screen will also include the balance related to EXIT available in the wallet (initially equal to 0 EXIT).

The Metamask wallet also contains the ETH (Ethereum Goerli) balance since ETH is the native currency of the blockchain on which the Exit Currency Smart Contract was placed.

In addition, a small amount of ETH (Ethereum Goerli) is needed as Gas to keep the blockchain active and running, and allow the EXIT token to circulate.

Each Metamask account has a public address (the equivalent of a personal IBAN) that you can share with anyone at no risk. The public address (Public Address) allows you to receive Exit Currency directly to your account, so you will use it whenever you want to have others send you EXIT.

Please note: To copy your public address, simply tap your finger on the string of characters on a blue background found in the middle of the screen (just above the three blue “Receive, Send, Swap” buttons).
